My review on Scioto Trails State Park. Just south of Chillicothe Ohio on Route 23. If you're looking for a stress-free, low key, small and friendly campground then I would highly suggest this one. I wanted a small camp ground to break in our new TT. Plus one of our dogs had never been camping before. I wasn't for sure how he would act. It was a great time. The lake is small but they do have some canoes and paddle boats for rent. The main section of the property is just like other campgrounds. You have close neighbors. The side section, before you get to the office is a little more spread out. I'll definitely be going back. I would have to say I like Scioto Trails better than I do Deer Creek. They even had a fire truck show up for the kids.
Only a stop over on the way home but wish we would have planned for more time here. Beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful, clean grounds and easy parking for the camping. A wonderful place for a getaway!
Went to see fall colors.. good spots to enjoy nature and see colors
Hiked all the trails today, very steep inclines, no switchbacks. Very picturesque setting. This is not a loop trail, it is several trails to equal the six miles.
It was a beautiful Park but now they're clear cutting way too much of it and there's way too many people . Been going here for 20plus year's and it's not the same for sure.
